Speculative Intimate

Museums and homes have long been understood as concepts moving in different directions. (Pavoni, 2001) Yet both are sites that preserve material culture and memory, and both inscribe a ground upon which futures are imagined. Here, you can see my intimate imagination of museum objects: an attempt to extend their stories beyond institutional narratives into individual memory and emotional experience. Through this process, museum objects are re-situated within the public space of the museum, allowing alternative visions of home, belonging, and lived intimacy to emerge.
